Find Your Calling in Life!

Be All That You Can Be!

No, we're not recruiting for the Army.

We do want you to be the best you possible.  That's what's coaching is all about.

We'll work with you to make you the "Tiger Woods" of your life. -- A great achiever, a fulfilled person, a happier camper. (Yes, even Tiger Woods hires a coach to help him improve his swing.)

Do I Really Need a Coach?

We all do.  Sometimes it's called a mentor - someone to objectively work with you to determine where and what God has called you to accomplish in every aspect of your life.

Once we help you identify the gifts you've been given, we help you formulate your goals and the path to reach them.

As your coach I will help you achieve --

Definition

We assist you in defining your reality.  Are your path and goals realistic?  Are you operating under assumptions that don't make sense?

Clarity

Together, we examine your vision and define your goals. Are you driven by purpose?

Or, have you let one thing lead to another, then another, until you don't know how you got where you are and don't know where you are headed? (That's a real definition for going around in circles.  Circles may be round and pleasant to look at, but being trapped in them is not a great way to live your life.)

Understanding

If you have roadblocks in your life, what it might take to get past them. Realistically, how much time might this take?

Evaluation

How do your thinking, opinions and conclusions of your past direct you to what your new career path should be?

Accountability

Plans and goals are great!  But, without accountability - to yourself, your plans and your goals -they might just exist on paper. We help you make those plans and goals concrete and guide you as you make them reality.

More Questions About Coaching? These Are The Questions People Usually Ask... (FAQs)

What is personal coaching?

Personal coaching is an ongoing, interactive partnership designed to help achieve your career and life goals more easily and effectively.  The coach's role is to assist you in strengthening your skills, implementing new strategies, and discovering new solutions to major issues or obstacles.  Our goal is to help you achieve meaningful lasting results.  Sounds good, doesn't it!

Why do people hire a coach?

People hire coaches because they want a partner to help them perform and be their absolute best.  Specifically, they might hire a coach because they:

  • Want more out of life
  • Are transitioning to a different career
  • Are tired of struggling to achieve success and are looking for an easier way
  • Want to learn and grow
  • Don't feel they are reaching their full potential
  • Want to change or improve in some way
  • Are undergoing a personal or professional transition
  • Want to clarify or re-connect with their vision
  • Want help in defining goals that fit their values, their needs and their wants

  • And able to invest time in yourself
  • To communicate honestly
  • To try new approaches
  • And able to do the work required

Open

  • To receiving feedback and assistance

How is coaching different from counseling or therapy?

Coaches work with healthy people to help them move forward.

Coaching is about

  • the present
  • the future
  • taking action based on goals and objectives.

Coaching is not

  • about trying to uncover or solve issues in the past. But, insights about the past often occur as a result of coaching.
  • intended for, or effective with, individuals who have severe mental or emotional problems and/or who have addictions (this distinction based from the work of Faith Fuller, PH.D. Psychologist, CPCC and Marita Fridjhon, MSW, CPCC, PCC).

How does it work?  How much time is involved? Is it face to face?

Coaching engagements with Coach Kevin are specifically tailored to the unique needs and personality of each individual. The first step is to ensure that there is a good fit and the path that will be taken. Once this path is chosen, an agreement is signed and the conversation begins!

The conversation can happen either in-person or over the phone, but it is likely that at least one meeting will be face to face. Typically, we start with the Career Planning Report, which is a combination DISC personality assessment (that examines behavioral styles and preferences) and career profile. Finally, depending on the program selected, the time spent together could be anywhere from a few hours to a number of months.

What happens in an actual meeting?

Every coach has a different approach.

Coach Kevin's approach is to begin each meeting by discussing all the activity and accomplishments since the last conversation. Simple as it sounds, this is a very powerful way to start a meeting because in the fast-paced - (and often negative) - world we live in, we don't usually take time to reflect and focus on what we have accomplished; we are already on to the next opportunity or challenge.

Success breeds success. And, by taking time to recognize what you and the key people on your team have achieved, you will be energized for ongoing results.

Then, the meeting focuses on the challenges and opportunities today and issues the client needs coaching on; this discussion takes up most of the time together.

Finally, the meeting wraps up by summarizing key points and confirming the commitments that the client will have achieved by the next meeting.

Coach Kevin reviews and analyzes all this information with the client while staying focused on a big picture.
